Background

Queensland Health is funding Drug ARM to deliver an AOD non-residential rehabilitation treatment service that is ‘day based’, structured and intensive. It is delivered in a community setting without a residential (i.e. accommodation) component to clients 18 years and older who are experiencing moderate to severe substance dependence and require more intensive treatment than out client interventions provides. Including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and person from a linguistically diverse background.

Position Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for Day program daily routine, including scheduling and rostering of staff. Work to an established schedule, which identifies the sequences and the activities required to deliver the Day Program in line with the contract schedule, identifying program deliverables and resources required and align the program and activities accordingly.

The Project Coordinator will:

  • Work collaboratively with Senior management to ensure the operations of the program meet specified requirements
  • Regularly review the program schedule with senior management and other staff that are/will be, affected by the program activities.
  • Support Day Program staff to deliver programs in line with expectations
  • Ensure quality continuous improvement through compliance with the quality management system processes.
  • Support team meetings across program areas
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with relevant service providers and agencies as indicated in treatment and schedule planning.
  • Be informed by contemporary evidence-based treatment services of people experiencing problematic AOD use.
  • Respond to the full range of psychoactive substances available (including alcohol, tobacco, licit and illicit drug use, pharmaceutical drug misuse, emerging synthetics, poly drug use)
  • Be culturally appropriate and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples social and emotional needs and whole of health treatment frameworks
  • Flexibly deliver the program to meet clients’ needs, including ways to maximise participation in the program.
  • Perform special projects as directed
  • Prepare supporting documentation and progress reports as required.
