A little about the role

We are looking for experienced casual support workers to join our Residential services team to: 

  • Support people with disabilities to live independently and to achieve their personal goals.
  • Provide direct support for individuals during program delivery, meal times, personal care, behavioural, physical and social supports.
  • Create a positive environment for all clients promoting both physical and emotional well-being.
  • Provide quality services and outcomes, by the relationships formed between staff, the people we support, their families and representatives.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will need the following:

  • A strong knowledge of disability, including complex communication and behaviour, either through qualifications or demonstrated experience in the field. 
  • A qualification in disability studies or equivalent qualification.
  • Applicants must be highly motivated, energetic and committed to providing the highest quality of care and support to people with a disability and be willing to support clients in a variety of activities in a variety of settings.
  • Flexibility and availability is essential in this role, with the ability to work a variety of shifts: morning, day, afternoon, sleepovers, evening and weekends.
  • You must hold a Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and a Current Level 2 First Aid certificate.

The fine print

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, hold a valid WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Full driver license and travel between sites required
