About the role  

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist who is passionate about providing a quality centre based and consultative service to our much valued clients. You will demonstrate good initiative and problem solving skills as well as an ability to work effectively with children, family members and internal/external service providers in order to best support and meet the child and family’s needs and priorities.

This position contributes to the success of DPV Health by operating as an Occupational Therapist Grade 2 within the Paediatric Allied Health team.

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive centre based and consultative Occupational Therapy service to children up to 12 years of age who have difficulties with:
  • Fine Motor and Hand Skills
  • Visual-Motor and Handwriting
  • Self-Care Skills
  • Sensory/Motor Integration Skills
  • Visual-Perceptual Skills
  • Coordination and Gross Motor Skills 
  • Provide a high quality evidence based Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service that is co-designed with the family, to meet the needs of the child and family in a manner which respects their rights and confidentiality. 
  • Work in partnership and collaboration with the professionals who are supporting the child/family, to provide a timely and developmentally appropriate service and support.  This may include internal and external health professionals and other community team members (eg. preschool, school and child care staff).

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Policy Check, hold a valid WWCC and Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme Check
  • Full driver license and travel between sites required
