A little about the role

As an Occupational Therapist at DPV Health you will be part of a dynamic team, providing client centred care, with a high standard of clinical service to members of our community. You will strive to enable clients to achieve their Occupational Performance goals as directed by their client directed care plans.  

As a DPV Health New Graduate Occupational Therapist your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with clients to achieve their functional goals
  • Maintaining current evidence based practice
  • Being a committed and active team member.
  • 1 – 2 days supervised Hand Therapy
  • Attendance and contribution with Complex Wheelchair and Seating Clinic – learning to write reports and co -ordinate with equipment reps etc follow up contacts.  Organising appointments.
  • Gaining skills and experience with triaging referrals to the Occupational Therapy service
  • Participation with the organising and planning of groups. Groups include; Let’s Talk Dementia; Living Well With Pain; Hand Therapy Groups
  • Attending home visits in an observational capacity –to develop documentation skills for the home visits, completing Occupational Therapy assessments, organising trials, equipment reps, writing notes, reports, SWEP applications. Deliver equipment. 

About you

You will ideally have experience working within the community setting with clients who are aged, have disabilities and/or chronic conditions.

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent.
  • AHPRA Registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • You will be eligible for credentialing with SWEP

The fine print

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Policy Check, hold a valid WWCC and NDIS Clearance Check
  • Full driver license and travel between sites required
  • You may be asked to either provide or register for a Medicare and MBS provider number
