If you’re interested in forensics and want to make our community safer, we are currently seeking senior clinicians in the following locations to join Forensic Intervention Services:

  • Melbourne CBD
  • Lara and Greater Geelong (based at Barwon Prison and/or Marngoneet and Karreenga Correctional Centres)
  • Grampians (based at Hopkins Correctional Centre and/or Langi Kal Kal Prison)
  • Loddon Mallee (based at Loddon and Middleton Prison)

A day in the life of our clinicians

  • Learn from forensically-trained clinicians and a dedicated clinical director.
  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team including case workers, case managers and activity coordinators.
  • Supervise risk assessments and group-based programs using evidence-based tools.
  • Target criminogenic needs and underlying thinking patterns.
  • Coordinate service planning for community and prison-based treatment.
  • Help determine treatment pathways and prepare plans and reports.
  • Contribute to research and education in corrective therapy.
  • Consult with custodial and clinical staff on high-level issues relating to offender management.

Support when you need it

  • A specialised 16-week clinical induction program.
  • Reflective practice as well as debriefing sessions.
  • Ongoing professional development including foundation, theory and on-the-job mentoring.
  • Conference and clinical scholarship opportunities. 
  • Research working groups.
  • Annual funding of your AHPRA, ACMHN, AASW or OTC registration.
