The Prison Disability Support Initiative (PDSI) is a new service that will better support the rehabilitation of prisoners with disability and complex needs and their transition back into the community.

As manager of the Prison Disability Support Initiative, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of allied health clinicians as they deliver newly established services across metro and regional correctional facilities. As a brand-new initiative, we'll look to your expertise to oversee implementation as well as make sure day-to-day operations run smoothly. As head of our Program Advisory Group, you'll also have responsibility to identify operational issues or trends and present solutions.

This exciting opportunity will play a pivotal role in building key internal, external and stakeholder relationships and directly impact the future success of the program. When it comes to overseeing budgets, finance, human resources and occupational health and safety compliance, our Corporate Governance and Support team will be on hand to assist.

Who we're looking for

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Proven experience leading staff in multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • A minimum of four years post-registration clinical experience.
  • Experience developing innovative service delivery models and policies within a correctional services environment.
  • An understanding of forensic work practices and challenges.
  • Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is highly desirable but not mandatory.
