  • $102,637 - $124,183 (Plus Superannuation)

Reporting to the Data and Analytics Manager, you will have the pleasure of working with the best analytics team around – highly motivated, exceptionally skilled and fantastic personalities. The team are collaborative, positive and highly productive.

We're looking for a dynamic, motivated and experienced data wrangler and story-teller who can clearly articulate ideas, frame problems and offer solutions. You have a deep understanding of policy contexts and are driven to deliver reporting and analytical products of exceptional quality. You have both great technical skills and the ability to situate data in an organisational context. Your strategic nous and relationship-building skills equip you to gather business needs and develop fit-for-purpose reporting solutions. You have strong technical knowledge and can ‘get your hands dirty', working with complex data pipelines and code-based data analysis tools to find the best answers to organisational questions.

The key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Build and maintains relationships with colleagues across multiple work areas to understand reporting needs and develop high quality solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to convey and obtain information, insights and ideas on business processes, issues and priorities.
  • Coordinate generation of data inputs for reporting products.
  • Lead implementation of low/no-code reporting tools.
  • Advise on reporting approaches, data visualisation, report design and data analysis based on business needs.
  • Considers current situation, challenges and issues relevant to the branch in managing analysis and reporting tasks independently with little direction.
  • Lead analysis and reporting initiatives that support the effective performance monitoring, forecasting, profiling and program evaluation of Jobs Victoria initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi disciplinary team, supervise junior staff and contribute to the successful delivery of projects across the Operations, Insights and Digital Channels branch.
  • Evaluate emerging techniques, tools, services and platforms in relation to data and analytics.

The position of Senior Data Analyst forms a part of the Jobs Victoria branch within the Employment and Inclusion group.
