We are looking for a resilient Senior Clinician to help transform the way forensic intervention is delivered in Australia, delivering world best-practice forensic intervention to high risk, complex, and high-profile service users.
You will provide high quality assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and consultation in relation to complex, high- risk and high-profile service users. The service users you will work with could include those in high security, management units, and those who have committed violent extremist offences. You will provide clinical leadership and authoritative advice to stakeholders and engage stakeholders and other service providers in a multi-disciplinary approach in the management of service users. Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include national police checks and misconduct screening. A current Victorian driver’s licence is required.
Forensic Intervention Services (FIS) is a division within Corrections Victoria. FIS support the belief that every person has the capacity to change and deserves the opportunity to make that change. FIS builds connections based on trust and empathy with people who have committed violent and sexual offences. This work enables us to develop insight and employ evidence-based screening, assessment, and offence-specific intervention services to support a person’s rehabilitation. In doing so, we form a critical component of the Department's strategy to reduce reoffending and contribute to community safety.
