About us

Darebin Information Volunteer Resource Centre (DIVRS) is a not-for-profit, volunteer driven organisation that delivers free services and programs to vulnerable populations in the City of Darebin. The services are aimed at reducing financial stress, social isolation and barriers to accessing community information; promoting health and well-being and providing opportunities for participation in the community.

DIVRS has a vibrant, enthusiastic team of staff and volunteers who are passionate about their work and the organisation is in a strong financial position to further increase its capacity to meet the growing demand for services from vulnerable people in the community. Current programs include - Emergency Relief Program, Learner to Probationary Young Driver Program (L2P), Community Information & Referrals, Urban Food Program, Health and Well-Being Program, No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS) and Tax Help.

About the role

The Executive Officer is a leadership role with responsibility for program management and advocacy of DIVRS. Business acumen in the not-for-profit sector and experience in community development is essential. As an effective communicator and negotiator, the Executive Officer will collaborate and build partnerships with relevant organisations; develop effective relationships with representatives from all levels of government, funders and supporters and work closely with the Committee of Governance to build the profile of DIVRS.
