Diversitat Training, (part of Geelong Ethnic Communities Council Inc. trading as Diversitat) has delivered national training to individuals and industry since 1997. We specialise in the ‘care economy’ with qualifications, accredited courses and non-accredited programs in the following areas:

• Community Services
• Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community)
• Disability
• Early Childhood Education and Care

• School-based Programs (SbAT) ie Horticulture, Hospitality, Screen and Media
• Short Courses
• English Language Programs

Our courses are generally delivered through blended learning and assessment methodologies including both online and face-to-face (in the classroom and/or workplace or work placement).

About the role:

We are currently looking for Trainers and Assessors to provide training, assessment and support services to students enrolled in:

• Sessional Part Time, Cert IV Horticulture
• Casual Diploma, AOD & Mental Health
• Sessional Part Time, Diploma Community Services

As an integral part of a busy and passionate team, your responsibilities will include:

• Student inductions
• Delivering training in accordance with student individual needs
• Conducting assessments, and keeping accurate and detailed records
• Monitoring student’s progress, and providing support with the course content and learning outcomes
• Liaising with work placement providers (where applicable)
• Assisting with student resource development and validation sessions
• Remaining engaged and vocationally current with industry and Vocational Education and Training

Selection criteria

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold either TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110, and one of the following:

• TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills or its successor or
• TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills

And one of the following:

• TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools or its successor, or;
• TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools or;
• TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools.

Or a diploma or higher level qualification in adult education.

And:

• A qualification equal to or higher than the qualification being delivered;
• A current Working with Children’s check (or be eligible to obtain); and
• A current Police Check (or be eligible to obtain).

Industry currency

Recent (in the last 12 months) and continuing work experience or vocational practice/engagement in relation to both:

• The industry relevant to the qualification being delivered, and;
• Competency based Training and Assessment in Australia.

Professional development

Evidence of professional development undertaken in the last 12 months in relation to

• Your area of specialisation;
• Vocational Education and Training knowledge;
• Competency based training and assessment.

Professional development may include (for example) attendance at conferences, training sessions, networking meetings, participating in nationally recognised training, reading articles and discussion papers, and subscriptions.
