Seeking an outstanding Female Disability Support Worker to support two women with disabilities living a lifestyle that reflects their dreams and visions in their own home in Bardon. We are looking for a person that understands social roles, the importance of networks and connection, and is an advocate for inclusion.
Being in their late 40’s they are looking for a person with some maturity who is energetic, full of life plus physically fit and healthy due to the heavy nature of support.
Some experience around epilepsy and complex support may be useful however other life experiences and personal values and ethics are highly regarded and full training is provided.
This is a long-term position – therefore we are unable to accommodate short term applicants (visa restrictions or students who will finish their studies soon).
Part time/casual – approx. 20 to 30 hours, 3 to 4 shifts per week available including days, evenings and possible night shifts (some flexibility to what days but please note it will include weekend rostered work).
Initial training shifts will be adhoc – training is quite intense, then once fully trained your regular on-going shifts are rostered. Potential for other relief work both night and day times within small team of workers.
