About the Role

As a member of the leadership team, the key purpose of this position is to lead the quality, compliance and safeguarding of our client services. The position guides the provision of high quality services and supports to people with a disability and will be pivotal in leading the implementation of the requirements under the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission. 

Based in our Maddington office, this position also provides management, leadership and strategic direction to Directions’ Support Coordination Team, and will hold a small case load of Support Coordination clients.

About You

Ideally, the successful candidate will possess the following attributes: 

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (desirable).
  2. Demonstrated subject matter expertise on the issues facing non- government disability service providers across quality management and safeguarding;
  3. Demonstrated experience leading a team;
  4. Demonstrated experience in a role requiring conceptual and analytical skills, strategic thinking, problem solving and ability to synthesise complex information, preferably in a human services setting;
  5. Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to consult, negotiate effectively and develop and maintain networks with a range of stakeholders; and verbally present material in an engaging and effective manner;
  6. Sound knowledge of the legislative and policy environment for non-government disability service providers;
  7. Strong report writing skills;
  8. Substantive experience implementing government funding for the delivery of services in a competitive environment;
  9. Ability to plan and manage resources and budgets effectively;
  10. Experience in restrictive practice and positive behaviour support (desirable).
