General Practitioner - Althea Wellness Centre - Woden

Directions Health Services
  • 1 – 3 days per week casual contract

The Althea Wellness Centre provides primary clinical care and support to vulnerable clients with complex needs and their family members/significant others. The service is primarily designed to meet the needs of people who have current or past substance use issues and/or other complex needs, who do not have a regular GP or are unable to have their needs met in mainstream health services.

We are very excited that our holistic integrated outreach services are expanding, utilising our new custom-built mobile clinic. Consequently, Directions is seeking to recruit GPs to provide services in our Woden clinic and in our outreach settings.

Our GPs receive an attractive salary and work in a supportive team environment that includes our practice nurses and other members of the Althea clinical team, as well as other program staff who form part of an integrated Directions Health Services response. We can be flexible with the number of days and the hours you are able to work across Monday – Friday business hours. No weekend work or on-call is required.

If you are seeking a full-time position, or are interested in combining different roles, we can link you with other agencies and GP practices in Canberra.
