Position Summary:

As an Advanced Child Protection Practitioner working at DHHS you will be a part of an incredibly vibrant and diverse workplace working with people who are disadvantaged and vulnerable.

At an advanced level you will receive and assess reports about alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people, undertake investigations, develop plans, provide quality case management, and make recommendations to the Children's Court of Victoria and other relevant courts to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is achieved.

The Rural After Hours team is responsible for responding to cases where clients are at significant risk and require an urgent out of hours response. This role will be required to operate outside of normal business hours (at night and on weekends and public holidays) as a part of a roster and with relevant overtime provisions applying. Employees will also be required to work a number of days in the office.
