The Doctors' Health Advisory Service NSW (DHAS) is seeking a part-time allied health professional with mental health and/or hospital experience.

A little about the organisation: Doctors, dentists and veterinarians have stressful jobs. The DHAS is a not-for-profit organisation that offers a confidential telephone service to provide personal, impartial and non-judgmental advice for them or for their colleagues or family members if they are concerned about a practitioner's well-being. The main purpose of this position is to support the practitioners and students to ensure that they are able to access the care or other help they need.

This is a part time role of 15 hours per week ideally spread over three or four days.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Being a point of contact to facilitate referrals and assistance for practitioners who contact the DHAS helpline
• Limited case management
• Liaison with stakeholders
• Management of the website; business administration
• Development of educational materials on doctors' health topics
• Presentations to medical students and doctors
• Attendance at committee meetings

To be eligible you will need the following:

• A tertiary qualification in an allied health profession (social work, psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy or nursing) and eligibility for membership of and/or registration with the relevant professional organisation and/or registration body
• An understanding of the unique stressors that doctors, dentists and veterinarians face
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• The ability to perform both autonomously and as part of a team
• Demonstrated computer literacy including Microsoft Office
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Flexibility to travel to hospitals, universities and training colleges

This is a role based out of DHAS (NSW) offices in St Leonards.
