Committed to ending poverty on an international scale, this Christian aid organisation is seeking a senior Fundraising Executive/COO with a passion for driving teams and strategy. Playing a key role within the executive leadership team, you will assist and support the CEO on a number of key strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
- Drive, direct and lead with energy, passion, and enthusiasm
- Collaborate and work in close partnership with the CEO to enhance the organisation’s capability and capacity
- Direct, mentor and drive senior teams across International Programs, Community Engagement, Advocacy and Strategic Relations to ensure maximum effectiveness
- Develop, implement and deliver on organisational strategy as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team
- Develop and communicate to a high level with internal and external stakeholders with honesty and openly
- Deliver highly effective decision making and problem solving
- Contribute to the development of a collaborative and consultative culture
- Identify continuous improvement initiatives across the business
- Ensure regulatory compliance and best practice standards adhered to
- Set and manage department budgets and strategy
- Develop and advance key stakeholder relationships at an international and local level
- Visit overseas programs and partners, provide high level of support in areas of networking, crisis management and program development
- Develop and advance key stakeholder relationships with ACFID, DFAT, Church leaders and other networks
Successful criteria:
- Proven track record of success as a CEO/COO senior Fundraising Leader
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications
- Superior and effective, energetic leadership, communication, collaboration, decision making and problem-solving skills
- NGO industry experience
- Superior people management, strong ability to coach and mentor senior managers
- Proven track record of success delivering strategy and operational outcomes
- Decisive, proactive and results driven
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders in the NGO space
- Proactive, dynamic and results driven
- Able to act and deliver at a strategic and “hands on” level
