This International Christian Aid & Development Agency has undergone a journey of transformation and growth over the last few years. The CFO will be a key member of the Senior Executive Team, leading Finance, Systems, Governance and Compliance teams. This role will focus on innovation and employee engagement to increase the organisation’s capability and capacity.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure compliant management and ongoing analysis of budgets with Executives and Departments
  • Lead IT and Systems Development and Maintenance to deliver on organisation strategy and capacity
  • Provide and implement dynamic policy development and maintenance and oversight of risk management processes
  • Governance and Board Secretariat representation, assuming Company Secretarial responsibilities
  • Lead Finance, Information Systems, Compliance & Risk teams
  • Inspire team to deliver on vision and strategy
  • Mentor and build accountability leadership
  • Deliver on continuous improvement initiatives and strategies
  • Identify system improvements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation
  • Overall cost-effectiveness of internal operational activities responsibilities
  • Continuous improvement of financial risk management systems
  • Oversee development of the Annual Budget
  • Major CAPEX management
  • Develop and implement financial management reports and tools
  • Partner with international Programs to ensure effective financial planning, compliance, and foreign currency management
  • Strategic direction and responsibilities for the overall IT&T infrastructure
  • Company Secretary duties including maintenance of Registers, company file changes with relevant authorities
  • Manage all risk and compliance in relation to standards, authorities, and accreditation's
  • Work with CEO on development and implementation of risk register and risk management strategies
  • Work with senior executive team and board on development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans

The successful applicant will be able to meet the following criteria:

  • Significant CFO, Finance Director experience
  • Appropriate degree qualifications
  • Dynamic and energetic leadership
  • Decisive and effective problem-solving skills demonstrated in a multi-faceted organisation
  • Exceptional planning, organisation and workflow management skills and expertise
  • Solid coach and mentoring capability
  • Strong financial, business operations and project management skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver complex projects on time
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make difficult decisions to achieve results
  • Proven experience in scoping and developing IT infrastructure, systems and processes
  • Superior stakeholder management skills, ability to build relationships to a high level within the NGO and development sector
  • Committed to the values and beliefs of the organisation
  • Able to act at a strategic and “hands on” level
  • Willingness to travel overseas when required
