State Coordinator - Tasmania

Australian Dental Health Foundation

The Australian Dental Health Foundation (ADHF) is a national not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to address the inequality between those Australians who can access the dental care they need, and those who can’t. Through its long-established volunteer programs, the ADHF coordinates the provision of pro bono dental treatment to disadvantaged Australians who are in need and cannot access timely dental care.

The Tasmania State Coordinator works within a small team of State-based Coordinators to deliver a suite of programs that are fit for purpose and deliver on the strategic aims of the Foundation.

You will be the key liaison person for participants in the programs. You will work with not-for-profit organisations to identify clients that meet the criteria for free dental treatment. You will collaborate with new and existing volunteer dental professionals and practices and coordinate clients attending for dental treatment. You will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of information and communication are achieved to effect successful outcomes.

This is a part time position of 15 hours per week across 2 or 3 days, based in Hobart.

To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Exceptional administration skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proactive, innovative and an enthusiastic team player
  • Ability to meet tight timeframes and manage a challenging workload in a professional and dynamic manner
  • Highly developed computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office 365) and familiarity with practice management software

Your experience as a member of a dental practice team or a background in managing programs of work within the not-for-profit sector is an advantage.
