The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action is seeking expressions of interest for 3 members of the Electric Line Clearance Consultative Committee (ELCCC) for terms of up to three years, proposed to commence in December 2024.

The ELCCC is a committee which advises Energy Safe Victoria and the Minister for Energy and Resources on the preparation and maintenance of the Code of Practice for Electric Line Clearance and matters relating to the clearance of electric lines in general, which governs the clearance and management of trees near overhead powerlines. Committee meetings are typically held remotely (online) or at a Melbourne-based location on a quarterly basis, and members are remunerated.

Applicants who are either private landowners, and/or have interests and/or skills in local government, environmental management or planning are particularly encouraged to apply.
