Combine your passion for disability rights and inclusion with policy and strategy expertise – apply to join the Disability Council, the official adviser to the NSW Government on issues affecting people with disability.
Meeting four times a year, the Disability Council NSW advises the government, raises community awareness about people with disability, and promotes an inclusive community.
There will be some work outside of the meetings, for example reading papers and preparing reports, as well as representing the council at events or other committees.
Being on the Disability Council NSW is not a ‘job’, but members get paid:

Successful applicants will be recommended for appointment by the Hon Kate Washington MP, Minister for Disability Inclusion, and can hold a term of up to four years.
