About your new role

As a Child Protection Caseworker, you will develop relationships with children, young people, families, carers and the culture to improve social, emotional, health and educational outcomes for children.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting risk assessments
  • Developing safety and wellbeing plans
  • Working with other NSW agencies and networks
  • Implementing effective case plans
  • Manage complex cases and situations

Working on a manageable caseload, your new team will encourage and support you in a positive and professional environment.   

About you

Becoming a Child Protection Caseworker requires resilience, tenacity and compassion to support children and families living in varied and challenging circumstances. At times confronting, it is important you have the right foundation with a degree in either Social Work, Counselling, Social Science, Community Welfare, Psychology or similar.
