Djerriwarrh Community & Education Services (Djerriwarrh) is a highly regarded not-for-profit charitable organisation which has been delivering high quality education, training, employment and youth programs in the western suburbs of Melbourne since 1989. Djerriwarrh in a consortium with commUnity+ will deliver the Job Advocates Program as part of the Victorian Government’s Jobs Victoria initiative to get more Victorians into work, in the Brimbank and Melton Local Government Areas of the Metro –Western Region.
The Jobs Victoria Advocates program aims to:
The Jobs Victoria Advocate contributes to the Government’s enhanced Jobs Victoria employment support system helping Victorians facing barriers to employment into jobs. Jobs Victoria Advocates will work on the ground to help people navigate employment and training services by proactively connecting with people, where they are, in their local communities.
Advocates will connect with Victorians who may need assistance to prepare for or secure suitable employment, ensuring they are aware of the supports available.
