About the role

As the Events & Marketing Coordinator, your strong experience in a similar role combined with your exceptional event management and marketing skills will see you excel. This is a unique opportunity to work with like-minded colleagues who are all aligned to DCA's values and mission.

This role will require you to partner with a variety of internal teams and external stakeholders while demonstrating your skills in delivering engaging events and marketing solutions from end to end. You will be responsible for driving and delivering the annual event schedule of over 15 events across Australia (online & in person), delivering event promotions, and managing DCA's CRM. You will support the Marketing and Communications Manager to seek out new event opportunities to promote DCA's programs and services, help build the DCA brand, offers and marketplace and provide input to the marketing strategy.

Excellent all round communication skills and attention to detail are vital in this role. The goal is to organise unforgettable events to ensure they exceed the expectations of participants and facilitate the completion of business objectives.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate your ability to meet the Selection Criteria outlined below:

  • Tertiary qualification in Events and/or Marketing
  • At least five years experience in a similar events and/or marketing role
  • Experience in coordination of events in partnership with other internal teams ensuring exceptional internal and external customer service
  • Ability to create and implement integrated marketing initiatives to drive participation in events and exceed business targets
  • Experience in leading and delivering online and face to face event logistics including scheduling promotions, speaker engagement, venue hire, catering, participant surveys, recruiting and managing volunteers
  • Experience in planning, designing, and executing event marketing tactics and monitoring metrics to report to management and respective internal stakeholders
  • Experience in managing social media and web content, and writing internal and external newsletters
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a commitment to ensuring a positive, professional customer experience
  • Highly developed verbal presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and efficiency
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and to problem solve
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to work within a changing environment
  • Proficient skill level in use of Microsoft Office suite and experience with CRM and event software
  • Current driving licence and ability to utilise own vehicle
