About the role

Reporting to the General Manager – Social Enterprise, the Social Enterprise Lead (SEL) will form a key member of the Summer Foundation’s leadership team and will bring to fruition the vision for this new enterprise. Critical to your success will be your ability to develop and implement a visionary two-year strategic business plan focussed on developing a social enterprise that brings together two products into one business model. In conjunction, you will develop plans for revenue generation and growth; forge mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholder groups and secure new business partnerships. You will work with your team to build a culture of trust and professionalism and together you will lead the transition of a number of the Summer Foundation’s pilot programs into self-sustaining national services and deliver these products to market.

About You

You are an entrepreneurial and visionary leader who brings strong commercial acumen combined with a community heart. You bring leadership experience from having run a small business; entity or division and you hold formidable skills in business development, strategy development and project management. (Experience marketing products and services and / or experience in a social enterprise or a for-purpose organisation would also be beneficial to your transition but is not mandatory.) You demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and engagement skills which enable you to forge collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholder groups which may include (but not be limited to) internal peers and leaders; people with a disability; allied health professionals; government officials and businesses. You demonstrate empowering and inclusive leadership and the ability to enable a values-driven, motivated and high performance culture. You hold formidable financial acumen and governance skills with the ability to work without guidance and with limited resources.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $130,000-$150,000 + super (based on experience). Summer Foundation is a PBI so some additional tax savings will be on top of this.
