• Band 7: $97,574 - $109,023 per annum + super

About the role:

The Families Youth and Children Planning and Projects Officer position works in a complex environment with a diverse range of services and organisations and is integral in supporting the implementation of Council, State and Government policy reform and initiatives.

You will work with the Families Youth and Children team to lead, empower and support service development that enhances the participation of families, youth and children in quality services.

To be successful, you will have:

• Significant experience in leading major strategic projects, social planning, policy development, project management and implementation of strategies that meet the needs of communities, particularly families, youth and children.
• Knowledge and understanding of Local, State and Federal Government reform, strategies and plans.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, manage and evaluate projects and programs within given time frames and budgets.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of current theory, practice and underlying principles relating to community and social development, and project management.
• Previous experience in undertaking end-to-end project management in a complex service environment.
• Excellent communication skills in both writing and verbal with an ability to effectively engage with stakeholders on a range of levels.
• A tertiary qualification (or currently enrolled and working towards) in Social Planning, Social Sciences, Social Work, Education, Community Services, Public Policy or a similar field (desirable but not essential).
