Your Community Health is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Officer to join a fast-paced, motivated and supportive Finance Team in this ongoing, part time (22.8 hours per week) role.

Your Community Health provides a comprehensive range of medical, dental and allied health services and support programs to anyone, through a combination of outreach, client-based and centre-based activities. Our purpose is to enable health, wellbeing and dignity for all people in northern Melbourne by providing responsive and accessible services. We provide priority access to those most at risk of health inequalities and those that may face barriers to accessing traditional health services.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Payroll Officer will:

  • Process end to end payroll for approximately 280 employees across 13 Enterprise Agreements
  • Provide managers and staff with accurate advice on conditions of service and entitlements under relevant Awards, Acts and Agreements
  • Provide subject matter expertise regarding payroll administration and compliance
  • Provide accurate reporting and payroll analysis
  • Make recommendations on enhancements to payroll processes to increase the accuracy and efficiency of payroll administration

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience working in an organisation with multiple Enterprise Agreements
  • Experience in interpreting and applying industrial instruments
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with some complexity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation
  • A track record of delivering ongoing continuous improvements
