About the role

The Finance and Contracts Coordinator is responsible for providing support to assist with Budget preparation, ongoing maintenance and coordination of Funding Contracts, Financial Reports and Acquittals and other Finance functions across Australia and New Zealand.

Applications are welcomed from anywhere within Victoria, Australia. The role has a remote/hybrid model working arrangement. The role is part-time, flexibility and adjustments can be accommodated around school hours and study time. Greater flexibility around choosing which 3 days to work, during the week or the hours could be spread across the week. After the completion of the fixed-term period, there will be a possibility of turning this role into an ongoing position.

This is a fantastic role within our small finance team with very progressive and supportive team members. You might also be invited occasionally to have a team catchup in our Ballarat-based head office.

Job Type: Part Time-Fixed Term until 31/07/2023, with the possibility of ongoing after the initial fixed term

Preferred Location: Ballarat or Melbourne, Victoria (Flexible location, remote/hybrid)

Department: Finance

Hours Per Week: 22.8 (Flexible days across the week)

Annual Salary: $62k p.a. – $68k p.a. (based on experience)

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-5+ years relevant demonstrated experience in accounting, finance and/or funding contract management including bookkeeping, data entry, preparation of funding financial acquittals and contract management OR studying towards a relevant qualification with less experience and the capacity to learn on the job
  • Demonstrated experience and motivation to support a range of stakeholders in the delivery of financial and contract management
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated capacity to work successfully within a team including the effective management of competing priorities and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills and experience across multiple platforms including Microsoft Office suite and an accounting software package preferably Xero or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and think creatively when tackling a problem
  • An ability to follow specified policies, procedures and internal controls
