Position summary

This position reports to the CEO.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Create and deliver solutions that inspire and engage people
  • Lead and grow our business with existing and new clients
  • Manage projects on-time and on-budget
  • Nurture relationships with key stakeholders, partners
  • Share practice knowledge and insights with colleagues

  • Demonstrate skills around communications with experience developing communications strategies, delivering effective communication tactics, and managing campaigns.
  • Display skills in stakeholder consultation and engagement with experience identifying and mapping stakeholders, developing complex multi-year stakeholder strategies, and facilitating engagement through workshops or forums.

Advanced proficiency in key digital tools:

  • The use of a CRM (customer relationship management), project management, knowledge sharing and time-keeping programs or tools
  • A command of essential communications and analytics tools: Microsoft suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Proven experience in analysing data to extract insights around engagement results, net promoter/advocacy scores and stakeholder sentiment

Proven delivery of results:

  • Delivers to clear goals within strategies. Identifies priority activities and assignments, allocates appropriate time and resources, tracks progress and adjusts priorities as required.
  • Foresees risks and allows for contingencies when planning. Monitors and adjusts plans and actions as necessary.

  • Outstanding feedback from clients when a director checks in with them
  • Growing our knowledge and capacity around sustainable development
  • Retaining and growing sales with current clients, attracting new clients

Role and experience requirements, and location

  • An undergraduate university degree in business administration, management, marketing, political science, international relations, social science or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in communications and stakeholder engagement, preferably in-house and in consulting (incl. account management)
  • Exceptional communication and networking skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in English is required
  • Australian citizenship or residency or have current work rights for Australia
  • This role is 0.8 to 1 FTE (i.e. four to five days per week)
  • The location is flexible – travel may be required within Australia
