The Children's Support Officer is responsible for implementing children's programs, projects and delivering key child protection initiatives to assist in the successful delivery of key strategies, projects and programs across the Children and Family team.
The successful applicant will form key relationships with the Children's Coordinator; the Children, Youth and Families unit and other teams across the organisation, members of the community, community organisations, agencies and relevant professionals within the sector.

Salary: Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award. The position is placed at Grade 8 of the Cumberland Council salary structure with a salary range of $1,187.69 to $1,365.84 per week, plus superannuation.
The commencement salary will depend on qualifications, experience and competencies.
Conditions of Employment: This is a term contract, full-time position working 7.75 hours per day on a roster between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. This is based on a 70 hour working fortnight, with access to a Rostered Day Off (RDO). The position will be located at Council's Merrylands office, with occasional travel across the Cumberland LGA required.
You may also be required to attend training, education events and staff meetings outside of your normal working hours.
