About C&K:

C&K is a not-for-profit organisation which is recognised as one of Queensland's leading bodies in the Early Childhood and Education sector. Since 1907, the organisation has grown and developed its social purpose agenda and now educates children in 360 centres which are comprised of both Childcare Centres and Kindergartens.

C&K Arlington Drive Childcare based in Arana Hills is an all-inclusive service which includes nutritious meals prepared fresh daily, quality nappies, T-shirts, hats and visiting entertainment. They are a 10-room service offering Early Childhood education from 6 weeks through to 5 years and operate 52 weeks per year only closing on public holidays

About the role:

Due to an increase in enrolments, C&K Arlington Drive Childcare Centre is currently looking for a qualified and experienced Group Leader to join the Centre. The successful educator will pride themselves on their mentoring ability and have a passion for working closely with educators within the learning environment. We are looking for someone with exceptional relationship skills with families, children and other educators.

  • Permanent full-time opportunity - 40 hours per week
  • Rotating shifts between the hours of 6:30 am to 6:30 pm

Ideal applicants will have:

  • An ACECQA recognised qualification - already obtained or working towards
  • Prior experience working in the early childhood profession
  • Previous experience with inclusion support is highly desirable
  • Awareness of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLF)
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
  • An ability to document observations of children's behaviour and development
  • An ability to implement a planned program, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
  • An ability to obtain a Blue Card, First Aid and National police check
