About the Centre:

At C&K Arlington Drive, we cater for 150 children, operating from the hours of 6.30am to 6.30pm. We are proud of our home-like atmosphere which creates and maintains a warm and relaxed care environment, providing nurturing and rich relationships between our educators and families. We pride ourselves on creating a play-based learning environment and program that is developed in collaboration with children, families and the community.

We have four thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces that encourage children to engage in risk taking, demonstrate their agency and explore their own unique competencies and capabilities.

About the role:

C&K Arlington Drive is looking for a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to work in the Kindergarten room. The role is Permanent, Full-Time.

C&K Arlington embraces Listening and Learning Together: C&K Curriculum Approach which underpins the values, commitments and visions for children's learning in support of the expectations described in The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG). A distinguishing feature of the curriculum approach is the way that educators skillfully partner with children and families to create caring and vibrant learning communities.

Ideal applicants will have: 

• A Bachelor of Education in Early childhood or equivalent early childhood qualification OR
• Be studying towards and have completed 50% of a Bachelor of Education in Early childhood or equivalent early childhood qualification

Education and Practice:

• An ability to lead the implementation of a planned program, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
• An ability to document and assess children's learning behaviour and development
• Maintain and demonstrate current working knowledge and theories relevant to early childhood education
• Demonstrated understanding of the provision of a safe, engaging, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
• Participate in professional learning and development to enhance individual leadership and management capability and facilitate learning opportunities for the team. 

Relationships with children:

• Demonstrated experience in providing practical guidance and interaction that ensures quality outcomes for children
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining positive relationships with families that supports each child's needs 

Personal accountability:

Evidence of demonstrated or developing experience that shows:

• Initiative and strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives and managing health and safety risks;
• Models professional and ethical behavior;
• Commits to personal development; and
• Displays courage in the provision of advice and decision making.
