About C&K:

C&K is a not-for-profit organisation which is recognised as one of Queensland's leading bodies in the Early Childhood and Education sector. Since 1907, the organisation has grown and developed its social purpose agenda and now educates children in 360 centres which is comprised of both Childcare Centres and Kindergartens.

C&K QUT Kelvin Grove Community Childcare is a 5-room service offering Early Childhood Education for children from 6 weeks through to 5 years. The service is licensed for up to 66 children and can be described as fast paced yet a fun and supportive environment where we encourage and strongly promote personal and professional development opportunities. It is also a very multicultural service, with many of their families from a cultural and linguistically diverse background.

About the role:

C&K QUT Kelvin Grove is currently looking for a full-time assistant role 40hrs a week. You will work an 8-hour day with and will receive one paid RDO a month allowing for a harmonious work-life balance.

• Permanent full-time opportunity - 40 hours per week
• Banked monthly RDO
• Rotating shifts between the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

Ideal candidates will have:

• Hold a cert 3 (or an approved Diploma level qualification recognised by ACECQA)
• Knowledge of National Quality Framework and standards and the Early Years Learning Framework
• Current First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR Certificate - every year for asthma, anaphylaxis & CPR
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• An ability to work as an effective team member
• An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
