Remote / Work from Home
The Creative Co-Operative is Australia's first startup agency that is 100% owned, led and operated by migrant Women of Colour focused on lifting the economic and social access barriers faced by WoC.
We do this through designing and delivering innovative services, programs and products.
Our team is made up of mostly ex Big Four consultants who have left institutional spaces to create better Ways of Working + Living. We wear multiple hats to punch above our weight and we're only getting stronger. Our achievements to date are a result of our high performance + productivity team who have a solution-driven mindset.
The Creative Co-Operative has set a bold goal: in the next 10 years, we’re going to try to get $700 million into the pockets of WoC.
As a young startup social enterprise, we have been on an exciting journey to validate the best way to make this happen. From delivering consulting services to clients so we can employ (and pay) WoC, to pitching for and winning funding to deliver projects that also create short term or microemployment opportunities (to pay) WoC.
To this end we have delivered events, campaigns, are working on producing a book, also on a digital product and finally, an entrepreneurship program by and for WoC - all of which are also geared to amplify and champion the amazing WoC in our community, to the rest of the world. Resulting in >200 transactions and financial opportunities for WoC within our first year of operation.
This year, we’ve also set our sights on growing and digitising our capacity-building offering across entrepreneurship and digital skills to - hopefully - doubling our impact figures. You will be helping to spearhead solutions that are creating history as they successfully break down one barrier after the next.
We’re looking for a full time Marketing Coordinator (40 hours per week) to support our marketing manager and help build our stellar marketing team. They need to understand intersectionality and be able to work collaboratively with a team of 20+ WoC professionals with technical and lived experience. Keep reading for more details and if you're interested, please apply by submitting a tailored Cover Letter and Resume below.
**NOTE** Applications that do not include a tailored cover letter and resume will not be considered.
You’ll be well versed at leveraging powerful storytelling to help captivate the world to join our community and back our mission so we can achieve our audacious goal. Your expertise across both digital and traditional marketing methods and ability to stay ahead of new trends and tactics will ensure your success in this role.
You’ll be fluent in anti-racism, intersectionality and anti-oppressive frameworks. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast paced, sometimes high-pressure environment and you’re a successful people leader. You’re adaptable, solution driven, autonomous and pro-active. You’re here to get the job done and done well because you understand that quality is something we take pride in when we serve community, our first and foremost stakeholder.
**As a social enterprise focussed on WoC employment, we strongly encourage WoC to apply for this paid contract position.
