CREATE Foundation is the peak consumer body for children and young people in care. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering children and young people in care and improving the care system through activities, programs, training and policy advice.

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Darwin office for a dedicated and enthusiastic (Aboriginal Identified) Youth Facilitator aged 18 years and over to support the CREATE Northern Territory (NT) Team to roll out a range of CREATE services in the NT. 

Please note that this role is identified for Aboriginal young people with a care experience.

This role will inspire connection, empowerment and change through fun and creative events and workshops, by providing leadership opportunities for Aboriginal children and young people who are members of clubCREATE or are Young Consultants, and by working to create positive change within the out-of-home care sector.

Your understanding of issues facing Aboriginal children and young people with a care experience will be well utilised. This position will have a particular focus on:

• Supporting the CREATE Northern Territory Team in the delivery of a range of initiatives, including but not limited to connection events, youth advisory groups and advocacy training for Aboriginal young people,
• Effectively engaging Aboriginal children and young people with a care experience across the Northern Territory, and 
• Playing a lead role in engaging the out of home care providers across the NT, particularly Aboriginal service providers.
