About You

Are you an experienced and passionate project worker who has the necessary skills and/or qualifications in working with women experiencing family and domestic violence and criminal justice involvement? Do you identify as female? Do you have knowledge and experience working with complex unmet needs such as AOD use, homelessness, mental health issues and experiences of trauma? Do you possess strong personal values including high level personal integrity and commitment to ethical behaviour? Do you work using trauma informed care and practice?

About the Role

The role will provide group work, information and referral, and brief casework services for women leaving prison or at risk of imprisonment who are themselves survivors or at risk of family and/or domestic violence. The role will work with women at the Penrith Women’s Health Centre, women in the community on an outreach basis across Greater Western Sydney, as well as women in NSW Correctional Centres. The position is generally Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm; with occasional out-of-hours work to be performed as required.

Benefits

  • Earn $77,854.40 gross per annum plus super and generous salary packaging options
  • Contract to end December 2021
  • Full time 38 hours per week
