Professional Officer

This position is designed for a Registered Nurse who is passionate for industry advocacy, workforce development, program networking, and project management. Your vision will be to strengthen resources and pipelines to support health professionals in engaging in rural and/or remote communities.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (+/- Midwifery Registration) who has a passion to:

  • Research and promote rural and remote workforce pipelines that support workforce recruitment and development initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a national resource that serves as a central repository linking to all nursing and midwifery recruitment and networking initiatives, programs, and incentives.
  • Supporting and driving engagement with the National Rural Health Student Network (NRHSN) and various university rural health student clubs.
  • Author or curate clinical articles or updates for the CRANAplus Magazine edition.
  • Develop a proposal for a clinical development stream for the 2021 CRANAplus conference.
  • Contribute to the development of on-line or e-resources for CRANAplus members and wider community stakeholders.
  • Participate in the delivery of professional development workshops, as required, to remote workforces.
  • Contribute professional knowledge and experience to a range of projects and priorities engaged by the Office of the Chief Operating Officer including contribution to the development of consultation papers and position statements.
  • Operational management of the LINKS Mentoring Program including a comprehensive review of the program, marketing, monitoring, reporting and evaluation.

  • Projects you have been involved in scoping, implementing, coordinating, or evaluating
  • Involvement in workforce development projects, research, program or industry innovations, or creative ideas to improve practices
