Central Queensland Rural Health is seeking an enthusiastic Mental Health Clinician to establish a unique role across the communities within our region. You will have a relevant qualification and credentialing from a recognised tertiary institution and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or associated regulation organisation.

You will be responsible for providing clinical and therapeutic Mental Health Services based in General Practice or other organisations whilst developing and conducting programs with an educational, supportive or therapeutic focus.

Your primary role will be to integrate Mental Health education, treatment and therapy by referring and collaborating with General Practitioners, Medical Specialists and other health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team in the primary care setting.

You will adopt a primary health care approach to Mental Health service delivery through developing and maintaining relationships with other health service providers located in the communities where they provide services. You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with professional organisations and other organisations potentially or actively requiring Allied Health services.

You will have wide-ranging knowledge of Mental Health and the management of children and adults with the ability to keep abreast of and evaluate current knowledge and trends.

You will demonstrate a high level of responsibility and initiative, ability to work autonomously, cope with and instigate change and organisational ability and have an understanding of teamwork and the health service delivery process within Queensland and Primary Health Care service provision models in Queensland.
