The CPSU/CSA is a union of members working to deliver public services in WA and is seeking an Industrial Officer to fill a permanent vacancy. The Industrial Officer will work within the Industrial Services Group.
The purpose of our union is to develop the capacity and confidence of members to collectively build and maintain power in their workplaces.
We exercise this power to win improved industrial and workplace rights, fairness and dignity.
We believe that strong union workplaces deliver better public services for WA.
The Industrial Officer will provide advice and representation to union members in relation to their terms and conditions of employment. The successful applicant will be exposed to all elements of the employment contract, interpretation and enforcement of public sector industrial instruments and representation before state and federal industrial relations tribunals and courts. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in industrial relations, possess advocacy skills and have the ability to manage a varied caseload. You will also be conducting negotiations with employers for replacement collective agreements.
