Union Educator

The Public Service Association (PSA) is the principal trade union representing public sector workers in South Australia and is dedicated to pursuing the interests of its members through strong, effective leadership and community advocacy.

We are seeking a Union Educator to join the PSA’s Organising Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, co-ordinating and delivering the PSA’s Worksite Representative training and member education programs, and organising key member forums. This role works closely with the Organising Team in the development and support of Worksite Representatives.

The role requires training and education expertise, an ability to demonstrate initiative and a strong commitment to Worksite Representative development.

Experience working in a union environment will be highly regarded.

This is a full-time 12-month contract (backfill) based in the Adelaide CBD.

Commencement salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

  • Strong planning skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop, deliver and follow up on union training programs
  • A knowledge and understanding of the South Australian industrial relations environment or the capacity to develop that knowledge quickly
  • Awareness and appreciation of SA public sector
  • A positive and flexible team player
