The Opportunity

Support the effective translation of quality standards into practice.

Reporting to our General Manager, Operations and Client Outcomes, the Practice Advisor is responsible for implementing strategies and plans to support CPSN’s organisational practice in the support of clients accessing CPSN’s services, including but not limited to NDIS participants.

The Practice Advisor will provide advice, guidance and support to ensure frontline workers have and/or develop the skills and knowledge of practice and clinical governance requirements.

The Practice Advisor is dedicated to improving the capability of the Innovative Choices program and plays a key role in translating and practically implementing policy and procedure to support best practice approaches to service delivery.

Key Role Accountabilities:

  • Provide advice and recommendations on how to improve practice and/or meet new or changing Practice Standards, including child safe practices
  • Participate and assist in the development and delivery or relevant staff training
  • Lead the practical implementation of organisational plans and strategies relating to practice
  • Facilitate periodic reviews to ensure governance controls are in place and working effectively
  • In collaboration with other service delivery staff, support the learning and understanding of Support Workers delivering complex health supports

We see this role as part-time, and the hours for this role are negotiable depending on the candidate.

In addition to being a value-match to CPSN, you need:

  • Experience working under the NDIS and disability sector and a strong understanding of provider obligations
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. human services, community services, disability) or relevant experience
  • Strong people orientation and respect for organisational values and culture
