About the Position

The Centre for Policy Development is looking for a Program Director, who will have direct responsibility for the development and delivery of our Early Childhood Development Initiative, a new major venture within CPD’s Effective Government stream.

Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player with experience working on big policy and delivery systems in education or health, preferably with experience and expertise in early childhood development policy or practice. They will be familiar with the sector and key stakeholders and have the ability to work pragmatically and collaboratively to achieve systems change. Working closely with CPD’s senior staff and broader network, the Program Director will assume primary responsibility for initiating and delivering this major project, managing the project team, stakeholders and substantive policy development agenda. The Program Director role is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic team and growing organisation with a track record of working collaboratively to design and deliver policy change.

The CPD team is based in Sydney and Melbourne, but is working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. The successful candidate can be part-time or full-time, ideally but not necessarily based in Sydney or Melbourne.
