The role

Be part of our new casual support team!

Duties include:

  • Delivering personalised support in a group and one-on-one setting
  • Providing in home support by assisting clients at meal times, with personal care and administering medication
  • Assisting with domestic duties around the home
  • Supporting clients to engage and participate in their community

Location

We have opportunities to work in the Newcastle region.

Availability

  • You need to be available to pick up shifts any two days during the week and one shift on the weekend.

You

**MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AS A DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER OR EXPERIENCE FROM THE HEALTHCARE SECTOR PROVIDING SUPPORT**

  • Have been described as an outstanding communicator who is empathetic and compassionate
  • Have a professional approach, are accountable with a high level of motivation
  • Must have a current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 minimum)
  • Have your own car available for transport; you will not be expected to use own vehicle to transport clients however if you have comprehensive car insurance and are willing to transport a client(s), if our company car is not available, this may be required from time to time. Mileage will be reimbursed.
  • Must have, or willing to obtain prior to starting, a current First Aid Certificate, CPR, Working with Children Check and National Police Check
  • Must undertake a health assessment
