About the Role:

This permanent position is an opportunity to continue the development of an exciting area of work within CFA. In this niche role, you will support and improve the quality of community engagement programs and activities by coordinating the monitoring and evaluation of programs delivered across the state of Victoria.

This is a collaborative role with the potential to improve fire safety outcomes for Victorian communities at risk of the impacts of fire. The role will build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including a dynamic CFA team, evaluation professionals and universities. There are many opportunities to develop your skills in leadership, mentoring, collaboration and strategic direction.

About You:

  • Qualified in Social Sciences, Evaluation, Community Engagement, Community Safety or Project Management
  • Experience in managing, monitoring and evaluation of programs
  • Knowledge of contemporary evaluation practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation, public speaking and facilitation
  • Ability to supervise and support tertiary students while on placement
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills in the context of a complex, changing business environment requiring agility and flexibility
  • Ability to engage at various levels and seniority while maintaining effective working relationships
  • Experience working in the emergency services sector will be highly regarded

There will be a requirement to travel occasionally throughout Victoria. A full and current driver’s license is required.
