The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded, community-based emergency services organisations. We respond to fire and other emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whilst our firefighters are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.
This is a pivotal role in which you will provide the day to day management, assurance and oversight of service delivery for the Fire Prevention and Preparedness department.
You will lead the departmental business planning process and regularly report on service delivery - ensuring governance processes within the department are best practice. Further responsibilities will see you overseeing evaluation of CFA’s community engagement programs and coordinating strategy, policy and procedural documents for the department.
You will also provide inspirational leadership to a team of Planning and Governance specialists who undertake the delivery of specific niche services and enjoy significant stakeholder management accountability with agencies and partners who support CFA and the community with fire prevention and preparedness.
To succeed in this key position, you will demonstrate a strong and credible record of achievement in business planning, project management and service delivery reporting in large, complex organisations - ideally, but not exclusively in the public sector. You will have demonstrated experience in developing and managing high performing teams with strategic scope, influence and impact and a well-developed ability to identify, foster and maintain networks at all organisational and government levels.
