Nambour Community Centre has been serving the community through a number of diverse government funded programs and aims to ensure sustainable and effective service delivery.

We are proud of our achievements and have had a positive impact on the lives of many people in this community. The Management Committee are seeking additional members to complement the knowledge and experience of our current structure.

about the position

• Address: 2 Shearer Street, Nambour, Queensland, Australia, 4560
• Location: Nambour
• Commitment: Regular – 12-month minimum term
• Time Required: Attendance at monthly meetings approximately 2 hours per month plus reading time for financial documents and other papers presented to the Committee for approval and occasional discussions and other contributions outside meetings. Management Comittee meetings are normally held every month in Nambour.
• Accessible: Yes Age Range: 18 to 80
• Training: An induction manual is available and other organisations offer training in the roles and responsibilities of being on a management committee.
• Volunteers needed: 2 Urgent: No

Requirements:

The minimum requirements for this role are willingness and availability to contribute to the local community and the good governance of the Centre. Members are required to attend monthly meetings at the Nambour Community Centre. The Nambour Community Centre is a Child Safe organisation and as a requirement of this all volunteers, including committee members are required to hold a current blue card or equivalent.

We are particularly interested in strengthening the composition of our committee with people who have any of the following:

• IT skills,
• Government relations
• Contract / grant management
• Familiarity with the local area
• Financial management and accounting
• Legal, business management
• Human Resources / Industrial Relations
• Fundraising/ philanthropy
• Community development
