The Service Development and Performance Manager, Older Persons drives and facilitates the commissioning of services to provide support for healthy ageing according to the requirements of the Aged Care funding schedule.

The position will manage commissioning of relevant health related initiatives within the primary care and community aged care setting which achieve: improved health outcomes, reduced inequalities and better consumer experiences across the South Eastern NSW region.

The Role

The primary focus for this role is the delivery of the Commonwealth's Care Finder program. The Care Finder program provides specialist assistance to senior Australians who need intensive support to understand, navigate and access appropriate aged care support and services.

  • Ability to review existing service delivery models and co design consumer-focused alternatives
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing, negotiating, collaborating, and engaging positively with contracted service providers to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Proven experience in successfully managing complex projects while delivering timely results
  • Highly developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to build a strong rapport with stakeholders across all levels
  • You have a genuine liking of and respect for the elderly and affinity with the values and purpose of the organisation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the strategic intent of the findings of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety
