The organisation

Financial Rights Legal Centre Inc (Financial Rights) is a community based legal centre in Surry Hills specialising in helping consumers of financial services, particularly credit, banking, insurance and debt.

The role

We are seeking to employ a passionate Community Legal Education Officer for a 12 month contract. The successful applicant will progress, coordinate, resource, promote and help deliver the Centre’s Community Legal Education services. This is a full-time position, part-time arrangements will be considered. Please see the position description for further details on the role.

Salary and benefits

The salary range for this role on a full time basis is $88,358-$98,171 plus 9.5% superannuation contribution. Currently approved arrangements with the Australian Taxation Office allow the Centre (as a Public Benevolent Institution) to pay a portion of gross salary as an untaxed Fringe Benefit with the remainder taxed at the applicable rate. In addition to being a flexible workplace, Financial Rights offers a 35 hour working week, 7 days’ time in lieu leave on top of 4 weeks annual leave. These entitlement are pro-rated for part-time working arrangements.
