Complex Psychology is a boutique allied health consultancy that provides a range of allied health services. We are in high demand as a result of our experience assessing, coordinating and treating clients who have extremely complex needs and for our expertise in negotiating complex service system challenges. Due to high demand for our services, we are seeking a qualified social worker (member of AASW) to undertake a variety of different roles. We are flexible regarding hours and happy to negotiate with the right individual.
At the heart of what Complex Psychology does is our dedication to working with clients who have multiple and complex needs. We provide the following services to the Department of Health & Human Services, Department of Justice, NDIS participants and Non-Government Organisations:
Due to the expansion of our practice, we are seeking a qualified social worker who is keen for a challenge, but looking for a flexible, interesting and supportive workplace. The Complex Psychology offices are located in Port Melbourne, but even prior to COVID-19 we've provided flexible arrangements with some capacity to work from home. We pride ourselves on developing employment arrangements that allow flexibility around study/children and other life commitments.
Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is keen for a professional challenge and thrives on working with clients who have extremely complex issues, including co-morbidities such as serious mental illness, intellectual disability, acquired brain injury, severe substance misuse, neurodevelopmental disorders and who present a risk to themselves, others and the community. Despite the challenges our clients face, we are committed to working with them within an ethical and strength based framework.
Applicants with a range of backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including those with experience in forensic services/corrections/prisons, disability, AOD programs, clinical/forensic mental health services and program management.
Social Workers based in rural and regional areas are also encouraged to apply.
Internal and external supervision is provided, as is regular CPD. Travel within Victoria, including some limited travel to rural and regional areas may be a part of the role and it is essential that applicants have access to their own vehicle.
We encourage applicants to make contact to discuss the role with one of our senior staff:

Jacqui Brown, Clinical Psychologist/Director, on 0427 721 076 or [email protected] (Monday to Friday).
