Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) is Australia’s leading breast cancer consumer organisation. A member-based organisation with over 120,000 individuals, our main purpose is to ensure that all Australians affected by breast cancer receive the very best care, treatment and support. We are a voice for women and men diagnosed with breast cancer and provide information and support through services such as our Helpline and My Journey online tool, as well as opportunities for our network to connect in a meaningful way.
We are seeking an experienced, passionate and motivated individual to join our organisation as the Communications Specialist. The Brand and Communications team at BCNA is responsible for developing and implementing targeted and innovative communications to BCNA members, health professionals and the general public more widely, and the promotion of BCNA’s services, programs, advocacy campaigns and events via a range of communication channels.
Reporting to the Director, Brand and Communications, you will be responsible for the development of a variety of communications across BCNA’s website, eDMs, and social media channels.
You will develop and produce the twice-yearly The Beacon magazine, along with implementing strategies to increase its online subscriptions.
With your strong digital production experience, you will also be responsible for coordinating and producing videos, providing and updating content for BCNA’s website and the My Journey online tool, and providing technical support to produce our well regarded Upfront About Breast Cancer podcast series. Other areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:
You will also manage relationships with suppliers, including graphic designers, printers, mailhouses, agencies, photographers, videographers and government agencies.
It should be noted that this position may involve some interstate travel.
To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who is a well experienced Communications Specialist and is passionate about content and bringing it to life! You will ideally be tertiary qualified in Communications, PR, Journalism or similar and/or have relevant experience in this field. You will need to have:
