Introduction to MS:

Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MS) is a Not for Profit organisation, and a leading source of information, advice and services for individuals living with multiple sclerosis. The main focus of the organisation is to help minimise the impact of multiple sclerosis on individual lives and provide ongoing support to ensure their journey is not undertaken alone.

The Role:

The main purpose of this position is to work with the Employment Support Consultants (ESC) who support clients to achieve their goals in obtaining their chosen employment in the open labour markets. You will be responsible for providing administrative support and service delivery assistance to the Employment Support Services (ESS) staff and assistance in the accounts payable area using a new purchase order system.

Your responsibilities:

As the Employment Support Officer, you will be required to assist ESS staff to coordinate their case load of clients by arranging the necessary assessments and provide admin support in the provision of employment support services. You will be required to raise purchase orders/ service agreements on MYOB Advanced in accordance with MSL purchasing policy procedures.

Other key areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to):

  • Arrange appropriate support to clients and employers
  • Assist with the identification and procurement of workplace supports.
  • Arrange and implement workplace modifications
  • Code and approve purchased supports/ services accurately into the organisation’s finance system(s) as per agreements or ESC direction (within authority level).
  • Liaise with treaters, service providers and ESCs. Update spreadsheet with details of agreements as they occur.
  • Liaise with ESCs and suppliers as required to monitor purchased services and Employment Assistance Fund applications. Update spreadsheet with details of purchases and drawdowns of monies as they occur.

Your capabilities:

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in Accounts, payable preferably using MYOB advanced
  • Proven track record for delivering solutions valued by clients/customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a management team and can add value in decision making beyond area of accountability.
  • Ability to network and develop effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through strong influence and consultative skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Your Qualifications:

Ideally you will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration, or relevant administration experience within a similar role. Essentially, you will need to have some accounts payable experience.

This position is full time working 38hrs per week working from the office based in Blackburn or Frankston.
